Hi, I’m Nellie—the heart, photographer, and storyteller behind Junolia Studios, based in the Southeastern United States. I’m a single mom, a wedding and couples photographer at heart, and someone who deeply believes in the power of capturing real life as it truly is. I specialize in action-based, true-to-life wedding photography that documents couples with genuine emotion, movement, and connection.
Photography has always been a huge part of my story. Years ago, I ran a successful wedding photography business, one I poured my whole heart into and truly loved. Then life shifted in ways I never expected. I lost my dad, and that loss hit me hard. Not long after, I went through a painful split from my business partner, best friend, and husband. It was the kind of season that knocks the wind out of you and makes you question everything—including yourself.
I spent the few years after healing, rebuilding, and learning who I am on the other side of loss and change. I stepped away from Photography during this time. For a while, I honestly thought I’d lost my passion for photography forever. I tried a few times to come back to it, but my heart just wasn’t ready yet.
But, things changed, and I healed.
I found my way back, not just to photography, but to myself. This time, I’m doing it on my own, with clarity, confidence, and a full heart. Photography is something I know I’m good at, something I once loved deeply, and something I now see as a way to build a beautiful future for me and my daughter, Viv.
My approach is relaxed, genuine, and connection-focused. When I am capturing the beautiful chaos of a wedding day, I want you to feel comfortable, seen, and completely yourself. This isn’t about posed perfection—it’s about real moments, real love, and real joy.
I’m restarting. I’m rebranding. And I’m stepping back into this work with excitement, hope, and gratitude. If you’re looking for a photographer who understands life’s highs and lows and knows how to tell your story with warmth and honesty, I’d be honored to be the one behind the lens.
