A Family Full of Love, Laughter, and Team Spirit

Some sessions feel extra meaningful from the very beginning, and Amy and her family’s session was definitely one of those.
When Amy filled out her questionnaire before our shoot, she shared that she and her fiancé have been together for 10 and a half years. Together they’ve built a beautiful family with their three children — a 13-year-old son, an 8-year-old son (almost 9!), and their sweet little girl who was about to turn three years old the very next day.
Even more special, this session marked something they had been waiting a long time for.
Amy told me they had never had family portraits taken with all five of them together. The last time she had professional photos done was during her maternity session before their daughter was born. Now, years later, she wanted something simple but meaningful — portraits of their whole family together.
Moments like that are exactly why family photography is so important.
A Family That Loves Big
From the moment we met, it was clear how much love and pride fills this family.
Amy described her fiancé as someone who works hard, coaches sports, and shows up for his kids in every way possible. And Amy herself said her biggest hobby is simply being a mom — cheering on her kids at everything they do and supporting them in every stage of life.
Their family life sounds like the perfect blend of busy sports schedules, cheering from the sidelines, and making memories together. Between soccer games, family time, and their shared love for the Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins, it’s clear that this household runs on energy and enthusiasm.
The Kids
Their three kids brought so much personality to the session.
The boys share that classic brotherly bond — equal parts friendship, silliness, and playful chaos. Watching them interact was so much fun. They were constantly laughing, joking, and being goofy with each other in the way only brothers can be.
It’s those authentic moments that make family sessions come alive.
And then there was their daughter.
Amy described her as loving all things girly — baby dolls, princesses, makeup, and jewelry — but also being fierce and sassy, running around and play fighting with her brothers.
That description couldn’t have been more accurate.
She brought so much personality and sweetness to the evening, confidently keeping up with her older brothers while still melting everyone’s heart with her little smiles and cuddles.
A Perfect Evening Together
As the sun started to dip lower in the sky, the golden light wrapped around their family beautifully. The kids laughed, played, and leaned into each other naturally, creating moments that felt relaxed and genuine.
What stood out most about this session was how easy and joyful everything felt. The kids were kind, well-behaved, and clearly loved spending time together. The boys kept the energy fun and playful, while their little sister happily joined the adventure.
You could see how proud Amy and her fiancé were watching their kids interact, and how much love they have built together over the past decade.
Capturing This Season of Life
This session wasn’t just about photos. It was about documenting a moment in time for a family that has spent years building memories together but hadn’t yet had the chance to capture them all in one frame.
Now they have portraits of the five of them together — something Amy had been hoping for.
And years from now, when the boys are taller and their little girl isn’t quite so little anymore, these images will bring them back to this season of life filled with laughter, soccer games, sibling silliness, and the love that holds them all together.
Sessions like this are a reminder that family photos aren’t just pictures.
They’re a way to hold onto the moments that pass by too quickly.
Amy and her family, thank you for trusting me to capture this chapter for you. It was such a joy to photograph your beautiful crew.
