On a wedding day, everything moves fast. One moment you’re getting ready, the next you’re walking down the aisle, laughing with friends, wiping away tears, and dancing the night away. In the middle of all that emotion and motion, it’s easy for the small things to quietly slip by.
But those small things? They tell the story just as much as the big moments.
As a wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to the details—the carefully chosen rings, the texture of the dress, the invitation suite you spent weeks picking out, the heirloom tucked into your bouquet. These pieces aren’t “just details.” They’re intentional. They’re personal. They’re full of meaning.
Details capture the feeling of the day in a way nothing else can. The way your partner’s handwriting looks in their vows. The way the light hits your shoes as you slip them on. The subtle nerves, the anticipation, the calm-before-the-storm moments that happen when no one else is watching.
Years from now, these photos will matter more than you think. They’ll remind you of choices you made together, the care you put into planning, and the emotions you felt before everything unfolded. They’ll bring you right back to how it felt, not just how it looked.
That’s why I photograph the little things. Because while the day itself may fly by, the details help you remember it slowly, deeply, and fully—over and over again.
